First Aid, Medical Provision and Allergy Awareness
At our school, the health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff are of the utmost importance. We take first aid provision seriously and maintain a dedicated team of staff who are trained in both Paediatric First Aid and Emergency First Aid at Work. This ensures that qualified support is available throughout the school day and during school activities.

As part of our commitment to providing the highest standards of care, and in line with the good practice principles set out in Benedict's Law, we have KITT Medical Auto Injectors available on site for use in an emergency. We also have a defibrillator on the school premises, with trained staff ready to respond should the need arise.

Medication in SchoolÂ
If your child has a medical condition that requires medication to be kept in school, please ensure that a Long Term Medication Form has been completed and submitted to the School Office.

Please note that it remains the responsibility of parents and carers to ensure that the school has the most up-to-date information regarding their child's medical condition and that any medication provided is clearly labelled by a pharmacy and is in date. This applies to all long-term medical needs, including allergies, asthma and other ongoing health conditions.

If your child is unwell and requires short term medication to be administered during the school day, please visit the School Office and complete a Short Term Medication Form. Medication cannot be administered without the appropriate paperwork being in place.

Allergy Awareness
To help keep all members of our school community safe, we are a nut-free and seed-free school. We have both pupils and staff with severe allergies, and exposure to nuts or seeds could place them at significant risk.

We therefore ask all parents and carers to ensure that packed lunches and snacks brought into school do not contain nuts or seeds in any form. This includes products such as:

Nut-based products and spreads
