Music

At our school, we believe that every child is musical and aim to inspire a lifelong love of music. Through a rich and engaging curriculum, children develop confidence in singing, playing tuned and untuned instruments, improvising, composing, and responding to a wide range of musical styles. They build an understanding of music’s history, cultural significance, and notation, while developing the knowledge and skills needed to achieve the expectations of the National Curriculum.

 

Music also provides valuable opportunities for pupils to strengthen wider life skills, including teamwork, leadership, creativity, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and performance, helping them to grow as confident learners both in and beyond the classroom.
