Our catchment area
Haslingfield Endowed Primary School serves the villages of Haslingfield and Harlton. All admissions are co‑ordinated by Cambridgeshire Local Authority (LA).

Children start school in the academic year in which they turn five.

Visiting the school
We warmly welcome visits from prospective families. These visits are not interviews and do not influence admissions decisions.

How to apply
The admissions process is managed by Cambridgeshire LA.

Parents should apply:

Or by paper form: available from the school office or the LA Admissions Team

Applications must be submitted by 15 January (or the next working day if this falls on a weekend or bank holiday).

Offer letters are issued by the LA on 16 April (or the next working day).

Late applications are handled by the LA Admissions Team.

Children may join the school at any point in the year if a place is available. To apply for an in‑year place, contact the LA Admissions Team.
Admissions arrangements for disabled pupils
Haslingfield Primary is an inclusive school. We welcome all children and value the diversity they bring.

Children with disabilities are treated equally to all other applicants. Before admission, we usually meet with parents, the Headteacher and relevant advisers to discuss any needs and ensure appropriate support is in place.

How places are allocated
Cambridgeshire’s admissions criteria are applied in the following priority order:

Looked After Children, children previously looked after, and children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school or whose long‑term medical needs can only be met here.

Children in Care / Looked After Children (LAC) and previously looked‑after children (adopted, under a residence order or special guardianship order).

Children living in our catchment area with a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

Children living in our catchment area.

Children living outside the catchment area with a sibling at the school at the time of admission.
-
Children outside the catchment area who could not gain a place at their catchment school due to oversubscription.

Children living nearest to the school, measured by the shortest available safe walking route.
